Village Missions
Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. They fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 220 communities across the United States and Canada.
Current missionaries:
Duane and Holly Scheidemantle are the current Village Missionaries serving Mazama Community Church. We have been in full time ministry first as a pastor, then as Village Missionaries since 2007. We have a passion for teaching God's Word, loving and building up the body of Christ and our community, and enjoying the outdoors.
Our History
Randy and Lisa Picklesimer were the first Village Missionaries to serve Mazama Community Church.
Randy formerly was in construction in the Lake Stevens, WA area for 22 years and Lisa was a Para- Pro in the Lake Stevens school district during which time he began Bible School. They were members of Machias Community Church, a Village Missions Church, and active in leadership when they began to serve with Village Missions. They served this church and community with dedication and love for 18 years.
